Arenal Volcano is one of the ten most active volcanoes in the world, a fascinating natural wonder and must visit destination. On almost a daily basis, red-hot rocks crash down its steep slopes and volcanic grumbles produce huge ash columns above the crater. In the Monteverde cloud forest are found more than 100 species of mammals including 5 species of cats, over 400 species of birds including 30 kinds of hummingbirds, tens of thousands of insect species (over 5000 species of moths) and 2,500 species of plants (420 kinds of orchids). The area is acclaimed as one of the most outstanding wildlife refuges in the New World Tropics.
At 8:00 transfer to La Fortuna, at the bottom of the always active Arenal Volcano. Accommodation at the chosen hotel, and in the afternoon guided excursion to the Volcano and to the chosen Hot Springs (dinner included).
After breakfast, at 7:30 a guided excursion to Selvatura Natural Park in Monteverde, where you will enjoy their famous hanging bridges and the Butterfly and Hummingbirds´Gardens.
