Verdant forested mountains rise from a crystal blue sea among isolated strips of sandy beaches this characterizes the Central Pacific Coast region.
Quepos a hub of the area offers myriad intimate hotels artistically built into the rainforested hillsides between the town and popular Manuel Antonio National Park.
The Central Pacific weather is much like the S. Pacific region: December through April, Dry season, 90° being average. Winter rain starts in May. and 70° to 80 is average during the day, though it can get as low as 60°. And the nights at 70° or down to 60° in the Green season.
Many people prefer the wet (green) season because of the verdant look to things (May-Nov). This results in a nice benefit in terms of prices as this is the low season. The rain in this area is like clock work, i.e.. it will rain cats and dogs from 2 to 4 every day but be clear the rest of day, quite often. All times are a good time.
As all of Costa Rica's regional zones the diversity is extreme and only so much can be seen. So picking and choosing your goals will help make the most of an itinerary, These factors make trip lengths variable.
