Corcovado
The southern most peninsula in Costa Rica, the Osa Peninsula is a secluded nature treasure trove, Home to many of the Costa Rica’s rare and endangered animal and bird species including the puma, jaguar, harpy eagle and the dreaded giant anteater.

Weather

December through April is the Dry season with 90° being the average. Winter rain starts in May. and 70° to 80° is average during the day, though it can get as low as 60°. And the nights can be very chilly and Very nice indeed.

The weather pattern: Dry Dec-Apr, Green May-Nov


When to come?

Many people prefer the wet (green) season because of the verdant look to things (May-Nov). This can be a major benefit in terms of prices as this is the low season.


How long?

Because it is a haul to get over, and the landscape and animals so intense, at least 2 or 3 days are recommended.


How to get there?

It takes about 8 hrs by road to get to the Osa Peninsula. Commuter flights arrive daily, with a 50 min flight time.
